The 48 months of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government at the centre, has made many important and essential moves aimed at improving the livelihood of people of India. Some of the prime achievement of the Modi lead government is detailed below.

 

 The support to farmers have been in the form of them being able to receive 1.5 times the production cost, as kharif crop MSP, while buffer stock has risen from 1.5 to 20 lakh tonnes. Pradhan mantri krishi sinchai Yojana has been implemented to invest 50000 crores more, with a fund of 5000 crores for micro irrigation. 

 

 Development of electronic national agricultural market E Nam to ensure that the farmers get right prices for their crops. Government has also ensured to give relief in cases of 33% damage to crops as opposed to 50% previously. Neem coating has been implemented to develop the soil and availability of fertilizers. On the front of education and youth welfare, 2400 atal tinkering labs were created, while granting of autonomy to 60 universities and utilization of national testing agency was also done.

 

  Startup India and mudra Yojana plans were implemented to develop the self employment facilities for youth, with tax benefits. Yoga has been made popular and got recognized by UNESCO as well during the tenure of Modi. Pradhan mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana was implemented to improve skill development and vocational training. With 1756 crore budget, khelo India has been in progress to develop sports in the nation.

 

  31.52 crores Jan dhan accounts were opened for people without accounts. Poshan abhiyan and maternity act amendment 2017 were created to facilitate mothers and Nutrition. Beti bachao beti padhao for education of girls and the death sentence for rapists were done to secure the rights and freedom/ safety of womenfolk. 95000 crores were allocated for SC/ST welfare to promote social equality. 

 

 The government buildings were made socially accessible, while schemes like sugamya Bharat abhiyan were created for Divyangs welfare. The amendment in right to people with disability act ensured more people were benefited with the number of disabilities increased from 7 to 21, with acid attacks also included. Jan Suraksha yojana was formed to give insurance facility to the poor; Ayushman Bharat healthcare insurance was formed to be the largest health insurance facility for people. 

 

 Surgical strikes were conducted to safeguard the nation from invading terrorists. Mission indradhanush and dialysis scheme were created to improve health facilities, while Pradhan mantri awas Yojana was initiated for infrastructure development. Swach Bharat was introduced to make India a clean nation, with crores of toilets built, and the plans to convert cities to smart cities were made, besides lying of new highways and railway tracks and route trains. 

 

 The disinvestment has crossed the 72500 crore targets, and coal mining has been given to private sector. Implementation of GST has helped business and the economy of the nation grow better, besides demonetization and banking reforms. India has become the top Mobile manufacturing hub with 120 units. India set a new record in space research by launching 104 satellites in a single flight. 

 

 On the justice front, stringent measures were made to abolish corruption with strong punishments. Instituting the direct benefit transfer program to avoid middlemen in fund transfer to ease funds transfer for people. With huge electrification of villages, tax structure transforming measures and tax compliance, and many other historic measures, India has become a new global growth engine under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government in the past 4 years.
