37 year old Indian cricketer known for his exemplary fielding skills, and being instrumental behind India's world cup campaigns, Mohammad Kaif has announced his retirement from international cricket. Mohammad Kaif has so far played 13 tests and 125 one day international matches for India, and has scored more than 10000 runs including first class matches. 

 


He had been the captain of the Under 19 Indian cricket team that won the world cup.  Kaif had played a very crucial role in the 2002 Natwest trophy victory, by scoring a match winning knock of 87. With the day being the 16th anniversary of  Natwest win, Kaif has announced his retirement from International cricket.

He has also played for Uttar Pradesh and Chattisgarh, and had last played in IPL for Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore besides playing for India last in 2006. He had been a strong middle order batsman, and was called India's Jonty Rhodes for his fielding skills.
