Former Indian Cricket team captain Mahendra Sinh Dhoni has revealed the reason why he had stepped down from the role of Indian ODI team captain. After the departure of Saurav  Ganguly, Rahul Dravid became the India captain. Later spin wizard Anil Kumble was made of the Test team alone.

However, they did not get the right team composition or the time to make the team shine. Though they had lead the team to success in several matches, their captaincy did not last long.  When India was in a pathetic position, Dhoni had lead India in T 20 and won the T20 world cup as well, following which he was made the captain of all three formats.
