When this price rise had been implemented the petrol price was 68 rupees per liter and diesel was 57 rupees per liter. In such a scenario the value of rupee against the dollar has also been seeing a dip. Due to this petrol and diesel prices faced a huge increase, and now a liter of petrol costs 84.49 rupees and with today's increase of 36 paise, the petrol price stands at 84,85 rupees per liter and the price of diesel which got increased by 25 paise stands at 77.74 rupees per liter.
Due to this constantly rising prices of petrol and diesel which might sure reach the 100 rupees mark, vehicle owners are severely impacted. The central government is keeping muted response in this regard.
