The Chennai Apollo hospital management has given a shocker with their irresponsible statement that they had lost records of all the CCTV footage taken during the period when former Tamilnadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha had been treated in the hospital for 75 days. This shocking statement of Apollo management has sent shock waves across the political fraternity.

 


Former TN CM Jayalalitha was declared dead on December 5, 2016, and following her death there were various suspicions and investigations on the circumstances in which she passed away. A special investigation commission under the leadership of retired justice Arumugasamy was formed, and the commission's tenure which began last September had been extended post June as well.

While various evidences were being collected, the Apollo management, when being asked to provide the CCTV footage during treatment phase has said that there are no footage, and it is a habit for the management to not save video footage for celebrities and biggies in political fraternity. Apollo management has said they have lost the footage as they don’t store videos beyond a period of one month. Now the commission has planned to request technical teams to recover the lost data.
