According to sources a Jet Airways flight (9W-697) from Mumbai to Jaipur carrying 166 passengers, was forced to return to Mumbai airport, few minutes after the flight took off. Meanwhile the pilot team had to take this decision after more than 30 passengers on board complained of bleeding from nose and ear while several others suffered headache.
Accordingly it was reportedly due to the drop in cabin pressure as they forgot to enable a switch to maintain cabin pressure before take-off and since the plane's crew was not able to maintain the cabin pressure, they decided to return to Mumbai keeping the safety of passengers in mind. Furthermore when releasing an official statement, Jet Airways has tendered an apology for the discomfort to passengers and said that 'the affected people on board were taken to the airport terminal where a medical team administered first aid'.
Moreover all the passengers in flight were
instructed to use the Emergency oxygen masks after the knowing that cabin
pressure was lost. Further as the news went viral, enraged netizens couldn't
keep calm on social media and a video taken on flight shows that high amount of
smoke was noticed inside the plane.
