More than 200 people have lost their lives in a fatal boat accident in Tanzania. Tanzania is a small country located in East Africa, and Lake Victoria is an important lake separating Tanzania and Uganda. In such a situation, a huge accident has happened in Lake Victoria, with a boat. A boat has capsized, impacting the lives of more than 200 people on board the boat.
A boat had been traveling from Ukara to Pukalora, carrying 400 passengers and the worst situation happened when the boat suddenly got immersed in water. The issue had happened because of a hole in the boat which was due to excessive number of passengers traveling on the boat.
All the 400 passengers traveling in
the boat fell into water, and even as the freak accident had happened on
September 20, the rescue operations are still in progress. 218 people have lost
their lives, 80 people are critical while 168 people were identified. The owner
of the boat has been arrested while the captain escaped death fortunately.
