H Raja has opposed the high court that it cannot come forward taking initiative to inquire the case on him leaving derogatory statements against courts. During the Vinayakar Chathurthi march in Pudukottai, when the permission for the march was denied,  H Raja had involved himself in an argument with the police during which he spoke in a defaming manner on police and the courts, and this video had gone viral on social media, and following this cases were registered on H Raja under 8 sections.

 


Though the advocates demanded Chennai high court to come forward and look into the case, it refused, but another bench headed by CT Selvam and Nirmal Kumar had initiated to take up the case, and ordered H Raja to appear before the court with an explanation for his statements, within 4 weeks.

However Raja has opposed this stating that the bench under Nirmal Kumar and CT Selvam cannot hear the case by itself, and stated that High court and Supreme Court judges can only come forward to look into court defamation cases. He has also said in his petition that this order by CT Selvam bench was anti national.
