The TN governor house has given an explanation that the professor Nirmala Devi has never ever visited the governor house thus far. In the popular news magazine Nakkeeran, weeks back there was an article relating the Tamilnadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit with the professor Nirmala Devi, and following this Nakkeeran editor Gopal was arrested by TN police as per the complaint from governor house, and later he was released citing that he had not committed any anti national act.
In the article it was written that for the purpose of getting the post of university vice Chancellor, Nirmala Devi had sacrificed lives of college girls studying under her, and that she is connected to the TN Governor, and only to avoid criminals getting arrested that Nirmala Devi was denied bail, said the article.
With demands rising to make the governor to resign, today the governor house has given explanation that Nirmala Devi is in no way related to the governor and had never visited governor's house and that the governor never stayed in madurai Kamaraj government guest house.
