Mitesh Patel's Rs.50-crore movie, which is likely to hit theatres in 2014, is being planned as a biopic tracking Modi's life from the time he worked as a tea-boy serving tea at bus stops in Ahmedabad and Vadodara to becoming the most talked about political leaders of the current times. Sangh Parivar is pposing the film as it is nothing but personality promotion which was denied to BJP stalwarts like Atal Behari Vajpayee and L K Advani as well said a RSS spokesman.
Film makers statement that next to Sardar Patel Modi was the only national leader Gujarat has sparked off bitter debate in Sangh parivar who are known critics of Sardar as well. Writer Mihir Bhuta, and Kishore Makwana, who had penned a book on Modi's speeches and writings are helping Patel to put the film together the shooting which will begin in November and due for release in 2014 ,ahead of crucial polls.
