Chennai sources stated that President of Tamilnadu Film Producers' Council (TFPC) actor Vishal has taken up the issue of film piracy seriously especially with regard to a notorious piracy website called Tamil Rockers. When speaking to reporters after meeting Tamilnadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, he was asked about the fate of Tamil films being leaked on the website.

Furthermore he said that if there was any entity to stop this piracy then it was the state government. He said that the state government was akin to God and only they had the capacity to eliminate piracy which he had left it in their hands and also said that they had already issued a petition and hoped that an order against piracy would be soon passed by them.
