Central minister Nitin Gadkari had said that measures will be taken to stop the flow of excess water from Ravi River from India to Pakistan. Recently when Indian CRPF soldiers had been going on a convoy in 70 vehicles with 2500 soldiers a suicide attack by Jaish E Mohammed terror outfit killed more than 40 soldiers in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir.
Following this, the whole of India had been angry and even the mastermind behind the attack Ghazi Rasheed was killed by the army in an encounter. Central road and transport minister Nitin Gadkari has now said that as a measure against Pakistan, the water flowing from Ravi River into Pakistan will be stopped and even the water from other rivers like Beas, Sutlej will be used completely by India and not sent to Pakistan.
Steps will be taken to utilize the water in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and this won't affect the Indus river agreement, said Nitin Gadkari.
