Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has always been seen accusing the central government led by Narendra Modi's BJP government at the center, as he has always mentioned that the government is misusing the resources, and corruption has been at an all-time high. After quitting the alliance with BJP post their failure to grant special category status to Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation of the states, Chandrababu Naidu has been revolting against Modi lead government.

While corruption can be curbed with the help of either Income tax raids or with Enforcement Directorate actions, the Chandrababu lead AP government has itself not taken care of several critical issues and burning sensational problems of the state. Here are some of the problems that have not been handled ably by the CBN government that is definitely needed to be revisited by the government and analyze what they had missed during their tenure.

In 2016, there was a huge man-made disaster, as Kapu community members adopted violent ways as they sought benefits under backward class criteria, and they had involved in the heinous crime of damaging public properties as they burnt a Ratnachal express train, a police station, and the vehicles in the station on fire in Tuni  located in East Godavari. The violence and tension had spread across 13 districts of the state, but no proper action was taken in this regard despite the formation of a commission to study the issue.

In 2015, there was another incident that happened to directly involve Chandrababu Naidu himself, as 27 people died in the Pushkar Ghat on River Godavari's banks. Ad per the reports, there were huge crowds right from day 1, when CBN along with his kith and kin took the holy dip for more time than expected, stopping the general public, and besides his participation  in a video by National Geographic also meant it took more time than expected and following his exit, the huge crowd squeezed into the narrow opening, causing a huge stampede and killing people.

Despite having a VIP ghat, CBN taking a dip at Pushkar Ghat, and the numerous delays in the commission investigating the issue is seen as another black mark on the government. When a similar issue had happened in 2004 under YS Rajasekhar Reddy government, he took the responsibility, and the Krishna district collector and Commissioner of police were transferred immediately, and superintending engineers were suspended, and people were provided with ex gratia.

The third issue that happens to impact the CBN government was the leakage of SSC question paper. There were huge political debates happening in the Andhra Pradesh assembly following the leakage of SSC question paper and it was said that the leakage was from Narayana high school, a part of Narayana college. Ministers Narayana and Ghanta Srinivasa Rao were accused to be part of the leak, and it was claimed that an employee of the said college had leaked the paper via WhatsApp along with several other college staff. This leads to a furor in the assembly and again this issue was also not resolved properly.

Another major issue was the acquisition of lands by the Andhra Pradesh government for the formation of new state capital Amravati.  Though initially the land pooling scheme of AP government was seen as a model scheme, it had left the farmers without lands and money, and more than 30000 farmers lost their lands trusting the government, and more than 25000 hectares of lands were acquired, and the compensation money offered by the government was not at all sufficient for farmers to lead an economically stable lifestyle and this ultimately resulted in debts and suicides of landless farmers.

Besides all these, the recent accusations made by Chandrababu Naidu that the attack made on YS Jagan were fake and that they were staged by BJP followed by the arguments leading the cases that the leaders filed on each other created even more negative impacts to the Chandrababu Naidu government.  With so many accusations against the government and its failure to resolve such major issues over the past few years of tenure of the government, people are already in doubt over how this government will help them or take measures for their welfare and development of the state.
