TDP lost Bheemili only twice since its inception. It lost Bheemili in 2004 and 2009 elections. In 2004, TDP candidate lost with just 241 votes. So, Bheemili is a safe seat. But Ghanta Srinivasa Rao is not keen on giving it up. Chandrababu offered Ghanta to contest from Vishakapatnam North which was allotted to BJP in the last elections.

In case Ghanta agrees, Lokesh will contest from Bheemili. If Ghanta is adamant about Bheemili, Lokesh will have to move to Vishakapatnam North. Whosoever contests from Bheemili, they will have to fight the election on Anakapalli MP Avanthi Srinivas who recently left TDP to join YSR Congress.
