Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Hassan, the leader of Makkal Needhi Maiam party has said that people will not elect and handover governance to someone just because they flaunt that they are Tamils and are proud of Tamil.
Kamal Hassan had earlier announced that his Makkal Needhi Maiam party is contesting alone without any alliance these Lok Sabha elections, and he had also requested good forces to join hands though none joined. On other hand Naam Thamizhar leader Seemaan also announced contesting alone and announced 20 male and 20 female candidates. Seemaan had been hinting at supporting Kamal right from start and had visited even once.
There are signs of Seeman trying to join Kamal, but Kamal recently said, it is his home and identity and not fair to use Tamil identity for vote seeking, and it is not necessary to get elected just because of Tamil and it is similar to family politics. This speech has indicated that Kamal won't join Seemaan.
