A day after the elections schedule is announced, the current Ruling Party TDP has suffered two back to back blows. Kakinada MP Thota Narasimham and 2014 Ongole TDP MP Candidate Magunta Srinivasula Reddy are likely to live the party. Thota Narasimha already announced that he will not contest in the upcoming elections.
His sought Jaggampeta Seat for his wife, Vani but Chandrababu Naidu could not accommodate her. So, Thota is joining the YSR Congress. Magunta Srinivasula Reddy who contested from TDP in Ongole MP segment in 2014 elections is also on talks with the Opposition Party. Magunta was given MLC Post by the TDP.
Two key leaders leaving the party just a day after the release of Election Schedule, this came as a shock for TDP. The Cycle Party is already weak in Ongole and Magunta's exit may prove to be costly. Thota Narasimham's exit may serve as a psychological blow to the Party as he is a sitting MP.
