Presently with the announcement of dates for Lok Sabha elections now the Election Commission of India has launched an app, which will ensure that elections are held correctly and also enable voters across the nation to report malpractices or any misuse of influence or political powers in any election booths.
It is named as cVigil app in case of violation of Model Code of Conduct and the voter who is around can click a photograph or capture a video and can complaint directly to election officials rather than approaching returning officer.
The photos or videos captured by the voter must be uploaded in cVigil mobile app along with an explanation of the violation incident which took place in the booth and the voter can also keep his identity hidden and can stay anonymous. Within 100 minutes action must be taken as squads will be sent by control rooms.
