Srikakulam Lok Sabha constituency has 45% rural and 55% urban population with Scheduled castes and Scheduled tribes ratio of 7.62 and 0.6. From TDP, Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu is currently the Lok Sabha MP of Srikakulam and from YSRCP MP Candidate for the Srikakulam constituency is Duvvada Srinivas, who previously lost to Telugu Desam candidate K Atchannaidu in 2014 elections by 8000 odd votes.

 


Srikakulam being fort of the Kinjarapu family, MP Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu and his uncle Minister Atchannaidu have a great control of the areas. However now people are against them due to high sand and granite mining illegally. On other hand Duvvada Srinivas is a common man with understanding of people's issues and went to all seven constituencies and is from Kalinga caste, and had joined politics asked by late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

After being ZPTC member he became the Vice President and was part of many protests against the Thermal Plant and turned a hero among public. Kinjarapu family ruined his business, but he continued to serve people which lead to YS Jagan giving him an opportunity to contest in Srikakulam in Lok Sabha Elections 2019.
