Tirupathi sources stated that Telugu film actor and Chairman of Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Institutions Mohan Babu is likely to be put under house arrest by the Tirupathi police officials yesterday. Earlier Mohan Babu had stated that the Andhra Pradesh government owes more than Rs 20 Crores in fee reimbursement to the students of Sree Vidyanikethan , which he is running in Tirupathi. Meanwhile the students were yet to receive the reimbursement amount since the past three years and were in deep financial crisis.



Furthermore for the sake of their academic future he wanted to stage a protest in Tirupathi, he said. Several petitions were also filed, but there was no response from the Chandrababu Government. He said “If the government still did not respond to the protest and reimburse the fees, he threatened to go to court to claim the fees”. Reportedly Mohan Babu along with the students of Sree Vidyanikethan , his sons Manchu Vishnu and Manoj together started their protest at 7:00 am on the streets in front of the school in Rangampeta, Tirupati Rural.

Moreover traffic up to 15 kms has been stalled on the Tirupati- Pileru road stretch and Tirupathi Rural Police have deployed a large number of police personnel around the school premises. Apparently Mohan Babu’s son actor Vishnu Manchu who is one of the members of the Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust, took to the Micro blogging site Twitter to express solidarity with his father’s protest and took a jibe at others educational institutions who were not talking about the fee reimbursement issue.
