As per report in Theni constituency, against O Panneerselvam's son Raveendranath, Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam leader TTV Dinkaran has fielded Thanga Thamizhselvan. Meanwhile it was announced that in Theni on behalf of AMMK, Thanga Thamizhselvan will contest elections. It was earlier expected that Thanga Thamilselvan will contest from Aandipatti, because he had won from there in 2016, and this time he had not made him contest in Aandipatti elections but is being made to contest in Lok Sabha.
Moreover he will directly fight Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam's son Raveendranath in the constituency, and it has been said that TTV Dinakaran has fielded the strong candidate Thanga Thamilselvan to make OPS lose in his plans.
