Congress party has announced their candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2019 for Siva Ganga constituency. It has been announced that the candidate of Congress for Siva Ganga will be former union finance minister P Chidambaram's son Karthi Chidambaram.
For the upcoming Lok Sabha elections DMK and Congress have formed an alliance, and DMK has allotted a total of 10 seats for Congress including Pondicherry. Vaithilingam had filed nomination and was later only announced as the candidate.
Though the candidates for remaining 8 constituencies were already announced only Siva Ganga was not announced and now after BJP ADMK alliance had announced their candidate as H Raja, Congress announced their candidate as Karthi Chidambaram and last time when he clashed with H.Raja, he was pushed to fourth.
