After considering surveys in ten constituencies across the state and looking for a safe place, Lokesh was fielded by Chandrababu in Mangalgiri Constituency. TDP leaders themselves say that Chandrababu is now doubtful if Lokesh wins there. Lokesh is aggressively campaigning in the constituency but the response has been very poor.
Lokesh is further worsening things by his frequent tongue slips. Jagan had deployed his sister, Sharmila to defeat Nara Lokesh, She will start campaigning for the party from Mangalagiri from 29th of this month. Sharmila's campaign will rejuvenate YSR Congress and will spell doom for Lokesh.
Mangalagiri Seat is currently held by YSR Congress' Alla Ramakrishna Reddy. He is seeking re-election now. Chandrababu did not have the courage to field Nara Lokesh as MLA in the 2014 elections. After coming to power in the elections, he made him the minister via Backdoor using Council. Needless to say, Chandrababu Naidu is very much worried about son's future.
