Kuruppam Politics has taken a Vital Turn. TDP candidate Janardhana Thatraju's nomination was rejected. The Returning Officer rejected the nomination due to differences in caste certification submitted by him. This came as a rude shock to the Telugu Desam Party and its supporters.
But the relief is that Thatraju's mother Narasimhapriya will be Telugu Desam Party's Kuruppam Candidate. Earlier she was nominated for the seat as a Dummy Candidate. BJP Candidate Jayaraj complained about Janardhana Thatraju's nomination and that has resulted in the rejection of the nomination.
Kurupam Assembly constituency is an ST reserved constituency of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, India. It is one of 9 constituencies in the Vizianagaram district. Janardhan Thatraj who lost to YSR Congress' Pamula Pushpa Sreevani in 2014 elections. He represented the constituency from 2009-14.
