TDP surprised minorities by deploying Former Chief Minister of J&K Farooq Abdullah for making campaign in AP General Elections. Farooq has maintained friendly relationship with TDP since NTR era. With that friendship, Farooq Abdullah came to AP and campaign for TDP. The main intention of TDP is to diverting minority people from YSRCP to TDP. Minorities backed YSRCP in 2014 elections and TDP aim to dilute their vote bank to YSRCP.
Intentionally, TDP use the Farooq Abdullah campaign in Rayalaseema districts. He was participated along with CBN in Kurnool and Kadapa areas where Muslim minorities are dominant. TDP predicts that Muslims would cast their vote for TDP this time because of enmity with Narendra Modi. MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi expects that his childhood friend YS Jagan would become CM for AP. Initially, Owaisi is in thought of doing campaign in Andhra and later he withdraws his decision.
As per buzz, Owaisi has not interested to campaign for Jagan in AP because of TDP direct fight against BJP. Muslims would get doubt on Owaisi If he will do campaign for Jagan. There are rumors that spread by TDP against YSRCP was mingling with BJP. So, Owaisi might not come to AP for election campaign.
