Ram Gopal Varma's Controversial Film, Lakshmi's NTR did not release in Andhra Pradesh after a stay by the Andhra Pradesh High Court on the movie release. The Producer of the film, Rakesh Reddy knocked on the door of the Supreme Court asking the court to vacate the stay.
However, the court refused to interfere in the case at this stage but gave the option to the producer to come back if they get an adverse judgment in the High Court. In the last week, Andhra Pradesh High Court stayed the movie release and posted the next hearing to April 3rd.
The judge will watch the film that day in his chamber and take a call on the movie release. If all the legal hurdles are cleared, the makers are planning it to release on April 5th. But if the High Court refuses to remove the stay, the producer may not have enough time to approach the Supreme Court and release the movie on 5th.
