Accordingly actor couple Jeevitha and Rajasekhar on Monday re-joined the YSRCP and they called on party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at his Lotus Pond residence in Hyderabad and formally joined the party. Meanwhile later Rajasekhar told reporters that they met Jagan after a long time and he said that all the bitterness between them was over, now and also admitted that he had behaved immaturely. Further he remarked that "today's Jagan is different from the earlier Jagan.”
Apparently the couple appealed to people of Andhra Pradesh to give a chance to Jagan to serve them. Hence they exuded confidence in the YSRCP chief to become the Chief Minister and assured him of their support. Jeevitha said “It is important to see who will take our state forward and we should ask ourselves if we want a CM like Jagan, who has worked for the public and travelled across the state to learn the people’s problems, or someone who is looking to induct more family members into the party”.
Moreover the duo had recently won an election of the Movie Artists Association (MAA) in Tollywood, which officially elected actor cum producer Naresh as its new president after elections were conducted for its official body on March 10. Apparently on the Naresh panel, Jeevitha contested and won the post of general secretary. Rajasekhar was elected to the post of executive vice-president.
