Krishna district Gannavaram TDP candidate and sitting MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi was issued a non-bailable warrant. The warrant issued by the Nampally court in Hyderabad has been executed by Telangana. The case was registered under the Arms Act of 2009 on Vamsi. The then government refused Protection for Vamsi.
So, he employed Private Security. Police have registered a case against Vamsi for illegal possession of weapons. The court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Vamsi for failing to attend the hearing of the case. The case was dismissed by the High Court in 2013 but Telangana Police is pursuing NBW for not attending the hearing.
Vamsi is alleging that Telangana Police are deliberately bothering him by the time of elections. Vamsi said he would report the High Court judgment to Nampally court. A few days ago there were reports that Telangana Government is blackmailing him to quit TDP and join YSR Congress.
