Income tax officials had conducted raids and seized more than Rs 20 crore cash from a place owned by a senior DMK member's aide associate in Katpadi, Vellore district located in Tamil Nadu.
Cash was stored in gunny bags and it was said that this cash might be used for issuing to voters for casting votes in their favor. IT raids were also conducted in the residences of ADMK a member Sabeesan who is close to Minister KC Veeramani and more than 15 crores were seized.
Two Telugu Desam Party members namely Ramanjaneyulu and Brahmanandam are very close to the TN Minister KC Veeramani and these two TDP members are allegedly the brain behind cash circulated among voters during elections. There were also videos released by IT officials from the raids.
