YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Saturday released the party’s manifesto at YSR Congress Amaravati Headquarters. Along with several freebies, Jagan also promised the implementation of total prohibition in the state in three phases which can be termed as a brave decision.
During the three phases, the sale of liquor would be confined and finally, it would be restricted only to star hotels. Liquor Sale is one of the biggest revenue sources for the Government and is a major source to fund all those tall promises made by the Political Parties. So, it will not be easy to implement.
Jagan tried to impress every section of the society with the manifesto and has targeted Women and Farmers mainly. Jagan has incorporated all the promises he made during the Padayatra into the manifesto. Political experts, however, say that the state would go bankrupt if all these promises were executed in letter and spirit.
