According to sources Telangana Rashtra Samithi's K Kavitha, the daughter of state chief minister K Chadrashekhar Rao, has cast her vote at a polling station in Pothangal, in Nizamabad parliamentary constituency. Meanwhile Kavitha, significantly, has gone up against 184 candidates, creating a record in India's election history.

In Telangana, K. Chandrashekar Rao’s Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) which stormed to power in state assembly elections in December last year is looking forward to sweeping the Lok Sabha polls with the backing of Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM. Furthermore the TRS had bagged 88 seats out of 119, while the Congress got 19 with the BJP on one seat.



Moreover polling started on a dull note in various parts of Karimnagar and Peddapalli Parliament constituencies of the integrated Karimnagar district on Thursday. Reportedly Nara Lokesh after casting his vote said “Very important that everyone votes as the change we want to see is only possible by exercising our fundamental rights. So he appeals everyone to vote”.
