Vijayawada Police have taken Controversial Director Ram Gopal Varma was taken into Preventive custody for trying to conduct a Press Meet in the city without permission. Lakshmi's NTR is having a delayed release in Andhra Pradesh on May 1st due to a high court. As the elections are complete, the movie release is allowed but there is no craze whatsoever.
Ramu tried to rake in controversy by announcing that Chandrababu has influenced Novotel and other hotels not to allow his movie Press Meet. He declared that the Press Meet will happen at NTR Circle, Pipes Road in Vijayawada. However, Vijayawada Police stopped him in Airport citing that Press Meet is likely to create Law and Order issue.
They told his controversial song from Tiger KCR is also expected to create unnecessary problems and his life may be in danger. After Ramu refused to go back to Hyderabad, they have taken him into custody. Ramu laments that there is no democracy in Andhra Pradesh and his arrest is illegal and announced that the Press Meet is now canceled.
