Reportedly at 41 degree Celsius, Hyderabad recorded the season’s highest temperature on Saturday, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Even though there were reports that said the temperature crossed 42 degree celsius in many parts of the city, IMD sources confirmed to TNM that the temperature hasn’t crossed 42 degree celsius yet and IMD has also released a cyclone warning for the state.

Dr Nagaratna, head of weather forecasting at IMD told “The maximum temperature was recorded on April 27 at 41 degree celsius. Earlier on April 28, there is an expected drop in temperature as there are predictions of cyclone in both AP and Telangana and the temperature is again expected to rise in the following days”.



Furthermore according to a weather bulletin released by the IMD on April 27, light to moderate rainfall is very likely to occur in isolated placed across Telangana for the next three days. Apparently IMD has also issued heat wave warnings in districts of Adilabad, Komarambheem, Jagtiyal, Adilabad, Pedapalle, Kamareddy, Rajanna Siricilla, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam till April 29. Moreover IMD has also issued warnings for south Andhra Pradesh of severe cyclonic storm as cyclone Fani, which is inching closer to Tamil and Andhra Pradesh, is expected to strengthen and reach the coast by Tuesday evening.
