Following an inter caste marriage, a girl's family has burnt her and her husband to death in Ahmednagar. The honor killing was performed by the girl Rukmini's two uncles who poured kerosene over the Mangesh Ransing(23) and Rukmini (19) at Nighoj village.Rukmini Ransingh had met with 70 per cent injuries and passed away last week while Mangesh is with 50 per cent burn injuries is getting intensive care treatment at a Hospital in Pune.
Rukmini and Mangesh married against wishes of Rukmini’s family, which had been constantly threatening them.
After a misunderstanding Rukmini went to her home and later told Mangesh to pickup but when he came, her family didn't let her go and her two uncles burnt the couple and her father locked the room outside. Ahmednagar police arrested Rukmini's uncles Surendra Bhartiy and Ghansham Saroj while a search is launched to locate her absconding father.
