It was a sensation back then when SIT formed by the Telangana Government has summoned Tollywood Celebrities in relation to the Drugs Case. However, the case suddenly disappeared from the media radar. Excise Department has four charge sheets were filed in the case and none of the celebs were named in them.
The tragedy is that all the celebs were named as the victims than the accused in this case. This is despite the fact that the hair samples of 62 Tollywood Celebrities were collected and 12 of them were grilled. Even the employees of the celebrities were not booked. For instance, Kajal Agarwal's manager, Roni was caught red-handed with narcotic substances but was not named in the charge sheet. He recently turned producer with Kajal being the Presenter.
Those named in the charge sheets were Drug Peddlers and those who were found in possession of drugs. There were allegations that the Telangana Government and the film celebrities cut a deal to escape the case. And by the time of elections, the TRS Government has the highest support base in Tollywood. Meanwhile, the drugs menace is even entering the schools which is alarming. This has to be taken seriously by the Telangana government or else future will be bleak for those innocent school kids and the government will be answerable.
