When CBN was declared that proposed new Capital of Andhra Pradesh in between Vijayawada and Guntur, the name of Thullur resounded first because of voluntary land pooling starts from this village. Real estate market was raised like anything in Thullur Mandal. Not only politicians, nri people also showed their interest to buy plots in Thullur mandal. Thullur is getting famous on overnight by announcing the capital between Vijayawada and Guntur.
Right from the beginning, TDP is confident on its victory in Tadikonda (SC) reserved segment because of lot of hopes on Thullur people. There are four mandals in the segment like Thullur, Tadikonda, Phirangipuram and Medikonduru in Tadikonda segment. TDP has won the majority in Thullur mandal but failed to repeat in other three mandals that causes to lose the election to YSRCP. TDP got 6K majority in Thullur where as sravan lost the election to YSRCP’s Vundavalli Sridevi with a difference of 4K votes.
