Reports added from June 7, passengers can fly from Bengaluru to Mysuru, as a new regular flight connecting the two cities is being launched under the central government’s UDAN scheme. Meanwhile the announcement was made by Pratap Simha who got re-elected for the second time in the recently concluded 2019 Lok Sabha polls from Mysuru-Kodagu seat.

Furthermore the flights will be operated by government-run Air india’s subsidiary Alliance Air. The 70-seat ATR-72 flights will ply between the two cities on all days of the week barring Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Accordingly fares for this price will start as low as Rs 1,365 and the fares can go up to a maximum of Rs 5,000 following the dynamic pricing model as per the UDAN scheme guidelines.



As per report the flights will leave Bengaluru at 10:30 am and land in Mysuru at 11:25 am and the return flight will depart at 12 pm and land in Bengaluru at 1 pm. Moreover Alliance Air had earlier operated similar flights between the two cities for 10 days during the Dasara festival in October 2018 to cater to the festival rush of international travelers. Presently the fastest train Chennai-Mysuru Shatabdi Express which travels six days a week takes two hours to cover the distance between the two cities.
