Furthermore as of now, there are about 30 lakh students studying in around 44,000 government schools in Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile in his directives, YS jagan included the provision of all the necessary amenities, infrastructure, quality food and water in the schools. Reportedly he held a discussion on the Mid-day Meal with the School education and Akshaya Patra Foundation authorities asserting that the quality of food cannot be compromised adding that the buildings for cooking Midday meal must be constructed in all the schools across the state at the earliest.

Moreover the agencies supplying the midday meal now have the allowance increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000, as per the orders of YS jagan. Apparently since the Akshaya Patra Foundation is already supplying food for the Anna Canteens, he also suggested the officials utilize the services of the Foundation to provide mid-day meal to the students in the schools. Hence mentioning that the review meeting is only a preliminary one, the Chief Minister instructed the authorities to submit detailed reports on all the issues related to the education Department for the next meeting.
