Amaravati sources stated that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS jagan who is on a short trip to visakhapatnam took the blessings of Hindu seer Swamy Swaroopanandendra Saraswati on Tuesday. Reportedly YS jagan Mohan Reddy is also likely to request the sharada Peetham pontiff to fix an auspicious time for the expansion of his Cabinet next week.
Meanwhile the Chief Minister reached visakhapatnam by a special aircraft from Vijayawada on Tuesday morning. Furthermore YSRCP workers and fans thronged the airport and gave him a rousing reception there. After which he drove straight to sharada Peetham to meet the seer. Apparently YS jagan presented the pontif with a garland and other traditional offerings which he took, and in a surprising move he hugged YS jagan warmly and congratulated him on his victory.
He spent an hour at the ashram before returning to Amaravati and this will be YS jagan's first meeting with the seer after the results were declared. Reportedly the spiritual guru congratulated him over the phone and is also understood to have set the muhurtam for his swearing-in as the chief minister. Even though followers of jagan say he is a devout Christian, the YSRCP President is known to frequent Hindu temples and seers and at the swearing-in ceremony, he took the blessings of Christian, Muslim and Hindu priests.
