Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS jagan greeted Muslims on the occasion of Eid on Wednesday. Meanwhile the YSRCP chief took to twitter to extend his greetings to all the Muslims. He also posted a picture of himself and his father late Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy on Facebook to greet AP citizens on the occasion of Eid. Furthermore it is worth mentioning here that the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister attended an iftar party in Guntur during the Holy month of Ramzan.
Apparently he also gave good representation for the community in the just concluded Assembly elections in the state. Reportedly in a recent press meet, YS jagan said that YSRCP Hindupur candidate Iqbal, who lost the Hindupur seat would be made an MLC.
Accordingly prayers or Namaaz and listening to sermons at the mosque marks Eid followed by Eidi (the practice of elders giving gifts to children for festival). Muslims also continue to offer zakat (charity) which begins at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadaan. Then the family gets together for lunch and invites friends and relatives over for a get together. Biryani and Sheer Korma are must have delicacies in every Muslim household and twitter is flooded with #EidMubarak wishes. Politicians, cine stars and cricketers took to Twitter to extend their greetings on the occasion of Eid.
