YS jagan Mohan Reddy had inducted 25 ministers in his cabinet and the surprising choice is Mekathoti Sucharitha for the Crucial Home Portfolio. Earlier, the names of senior leaders like Pilli Subash chandra bose and Peddireddy Ramchandra Reddy did rounds but jagan sprang a surprise by choosing Sucharitha.
This decision to have a woman as a Home Minister is to show that YS jagan’s governance and administration would be much like his father’s, Dr. YS Rajasekahara Reddy. Back in 2009, YSR had Sabitha indra Reddy as the Home Minister in the United State. Moreover, Sucharitha hails from the Dalit community and this move will empower the community.
Another surprise is Pilli Subash chandrabose who lost the election got the important Revenue Portfolio and was also made the Deputy Chief Minister on the sole criteria of his loyalty to jagan. Buggana and Anil Kumar Yadav with no previous experience as Ministers were given crucial portfolios of Finance and Water Resources.
