Telangana wants Charminar and not Cyber towers, say officials involved in carving out of the new states of Telangana and Seemandhra as their icons.The first draft of the group of ministers(GOM) formed by union cabinet to chalk out Telangana formulation process is caught on Hyderabad issue. It has sought clarification on which Hyderabad be considered as basis-GHMC led Hyderabad spread over 675 sq kms or HMDA led Hyd over 7228 sq kms? .
Sources in Delhi say that PMO has asked the GOM to work out on both angles and also on population basis .So Colonies thickly populated with Seemandhra like Kukkatpally and Dilsukhnagar could become Seemandhra while the old city and Secunderabad colonies with Telangana people could become the Telangana for the time being.'We have been asked to make only geographical divisions and not bother about linguistic or ethnic divisions 'says a team member
