hyderabad sources reported that Bring an end to the scorching summer in the Telugu states, the Southwest Monsoon arrived on Friday. Meanwhile as per the forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department in hyderabad, the monsoon was delayed by a week, however, the delay won't see any effect on the amount of rainfall to hit AP and Telangana.

Furthermore in an official release, the IMD stated that the southwest monsoon has advanced into Telangana and already covered most of the areas on Day One. Reportedly Jangaon, Karimnagar, Peddapalle, Warangal Rural, Kamareddy, and Jayashankar Bhupalpally districts witnessed heavy rains on Friday while Khammam and Peddapalli districts continued to experience heat wave conditions. Further in southern and eastern parts of Telangana, moderate to heavy rainfall was recorded.



Moreover regions such as Yellareddy, Kamareddy, hyderabad, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Ramagundam and few others received moderate rainfall while the remaining areas in the state are likely to receive rainfall in the next couple of days. Reports from IMD stated the rainfall for June is expected to be below normal at 13.5 cm and the overall rainfall season between June and September is expected to be close to normal.
