Close on the heels of Jagan’s release, Jagati Publications vice-chairman V Vijay Sai Reddy was also released from the Chanchalguda Central Jail on Wednesday. Vijay Sai Reddy is also the financial advisor to YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and has been second accused in Jagan's quid pro quo investments cases.

He was reportedly granted conditional bail by the Principal Special Court of CBI Cases on Tuesday. Vijay Sai was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in January 2012, and was first granted conditional bail by the trial court in April 2012 followed by interim bail on two occasions, his daughter's marriage and for going on pilgrimage.

Vijay Sai is facing allegations of converting black money into white money through routing investments into Jagathi Publications and other companies owned by Jagan and is considered as the mastermind behind Jagan’s meteoric rise in business.
