The clout of Telugus doesn’t come out often but when it does, they come with a bang. After recent reports that Telugu people in Karnataka disrupted Verappa Moily’s rally in Karnataka now there is some surprising and shocking news coming in from Tamil Nadu.

It is a widely known fact that Tamil Nadu has close to 35% of its population from people of Telugu origin and in 2009 Union Minister, Congress senior leader Chidambaram who has a Pro-Telangana inclination won by a thin margin in his native constituency of Siva Ganga in Tamil Nadu.

 

Sources say that Telugus who number close to 50,000 in his constituency are the deciding factor and they have already issued warning to Chidambaram’s followers that in case he wants their votes, then he cannot take part in the act of bifurcating AP and reportedly warned him very seriously in this regard that his political future will be at stake in 2014 elections!
