Reportedly the demand to get an admission in government schools was a thing of uncertainty, but, with the announcement of Amma Vodi program by YS jagan Mohan Reddy's new govt in AP, the public schools are in huge demand. Furthermore let us take the case of Krishna district and understand the scenario with rise in number of admissions in government schools, including model schools, municipal, ZP and MPP schools.
Reportedly a total of 1,51,719 new admissions happened for this academic year and 42,893 students out of them took admission in English medium schools and a total of 30,327 students for their admission in Telugu medium government schools. Apparently every year, the state officials run a campaign called 'Badibada' to attract students to government schools and Amma Vodi program has ensured to reach maximum strength in just 4 days after schools reopened.
Moreover Amma Vodi is a major initiative by
jagan's govt which is aimed at providing a financial assistance of Rs 15,000 to
all mothers who join their student in schools. Reportedly Gudivada Mandal of krishna has set a record with
high admissions for English medium school- i.e 5,351, it is followed by
Vijayawada and Machilipatnam with 5000+ admissions in each town. education
department officials confirm that same is the case in rest of the districts and
it is going to be a handful of work for government school teachers as well.
