Reportedly Chief Minister YS jagan Mohan Reddy met the Committee members on Sunday to lay down the guidelines and to delegate tasks among them, besides apprising them of the intent behind the exercise. When speaking to press persons after the closeted meeting, Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kanna Babu underscored that the Chief Minister had categorically told them the intention of the exercise was to save the loot of State exchequer, but not to settle political scores with anyone.

CM YS jagan said as quoted by Kanna Babu "In wake of massive corruption allegations against the past TDP government, this is meant to save the public money from being wasted and going into wrong hands. There is no scope for settling political scores". Accordingly, the Ministers will primarily look into irrigation projects and more importantly Polavaram project that have become infamous for massive corruption.
