Top social media platforms WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook have been facing technical glitches today. It's a global outage which is prevailing in Europe, USA, and Africa and as far as india is concerned, WhatsApp chat and Instagram posts are working while people are unable to download images or view story on WhatsApp and Instagram respectively.
People are able to transfer files on WhatsApp though and this bug is preventing people from downloading content shared to them. So far Facebook Inc. has not clarified on what has happened nor has it explained whether it's a case of cyber-attack.
For close to an hour, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram were inactive and only text messages are working. As there's no official update from the Facebook team, there's no clarity on when these features will be restored.
