AP’s 13th nominated CM - Kiran Kumar Reddy has changed his cars for the second time in 27 months. You know, this time he has spent almost Rs 3 crore (precisely Rs 2, 78, 70,768) on two Toyota Land Cruiser Prado mine-proof vehicles added to his convoy of existint Scorpio bullet proof vehicles .
In a country where even the Prime Minister used an Ambassador car (though bullet proof)it is ourCM using fancy cars – Toyotas, later Scorpio and now Land cruiser Prado. The reason security wing gives is the “POSSIBLE TERRORIST ATTACK” in the wake of Dilsukhnagar bomb blast. Question is whether it is not misuse of tax payers money and secondly where is the threat to Kiran Kumar Reddy �� from terrorists or extremists ?.
Analysts say that the threat to Kiran is more from his MLAs and Ministers than the ultras. ZOn the other hand the CM has rejected the request ofOpposition leader Chandrababu Naidu for change of cars from Toyotas to Scorpio . Naidu got a car change from Ambassador to Toyotas only during Rosaiah regime while YSR had refused to give him new cars.
