Congress high command has made its mind clear on Telangana bifurcation with its rejection of the resignation of 13 members of Parliament of various political parties from Seemandhra region in Andhra Pradesh by Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar.Of the 13 MPs, 10 belonged to Congress, two from YSRCP and one form TDP.
It is learnt that the Speaker's decision was conveyed to the MPs individually over �� the telephone by a joint secretary of the Lok Sabha Secretariat in the afternoon putting to rest a melodrama staged by MPs of Seemandhra to gain political advantage and also media publicity. One MP , Lagadapati Rajgopal of Vijayawada had even approached Delhi high court for acce[ptance of resigantion.Ironically the Speaker's action has come at a time when the Samaikyandhra leaders have lost confidence in their MPs and MLAs.
