Even before Telugu Desam Party could come out of the shock from the defection of four Rajya Sabha members from Telugu Desam Party – Y S Chowdary, T G venkatesh, C M Ramesh, and Garikapati Mohan Rao, senior leader, and former MP from Narsaraopet Rayapati Sambasiva Rao is also all set to quit the party and join the BJP.
Buzz in the Political circles is that Rayapati already conveyed his decision to Chandrababu Naidu and will very soon join the saffron party along with his son Ranga Babu and other followers. Sources say that Rayapati's Transstroy is the main contractor of Polavaram Project and with jagan Government's inquiry, he may be in trouble.
It was Chandrababu Naidu who advised Rayapati to take shelter in BJP until the next elections. It was only a few days ago, Rayapati met Chandrababu Naidu and offered him to live in his own house in Guntur if YSR Congress Government is keen on demolishing his Residence. So, the reason for the change of the party can be guessed easily.
